First time setup problem

Hi,

 

I have just bought the Arlo system. Everything looks okay with the power and Internet light showing solid green but when I am trying to setup a new account by config a new unit via https://arlo.netgear.com it just sits there stuck with the "Identify the unit..." just showing. It does not find the unit.

 

It is connected through the router (tried different ports in different locations in the apartment and I have tried switching to different Ethernet cables.

 

I have no problem with the lights but it does not pass the identification part...

Solved.

I had to do a factory reset (reset button + sync button for 15 sec), hooking everything up at the main router with a Ethernet wired computer side by side with the Arlo station wired to the same port panel.
Then everything just went smooth as the unit was recognized. After the setup was done, including the camera sync) I was able to move the Arlo station where I wanted it to be connected.

I am now very satisfied and just mounted the cameras and is now setting up the surveillance settings. 🙂

I had to disconnect my VPN before I could get setup to work.
