This system doesn’t work the way you think it does. I’m trying to cover only a1/4 acre property but If you want to extend the range of the system you basically have to buy more base stations and physically plug them into WiFi range extenders via ethernet (in 2021), which is expensive and frankly a huge pain in the butt.. I’m cashing out and selling what I have purchased so far and moving to a different system. Don’t waste your time and money on this Mickey Mouse set up, unless you are trying to cover a small house or apartment with just a couple cameras. Why you can’t just use a regular WiFi extender with the base station you already have is beyond me. I’m sure some engineer has a perfectly reasonable explanation, but to an end user, the solutions purchasing extra base stations and WiFi extenders is bulky and expensive.

Several of the newer Arlo cameras can be directly connected to your home wifi (without a base).
