Does the base station use 2.4 or 5.0 or both?

2.4 GHz only, and it picks an occupied channel (why is beyond me) on purpose.

Which causes my arlo set to have a reach of about 10 meters at the most. So the 300 feet lie is just that: Complete and utter lies.
