I set a custom schedule for 10pm to 6am arm devices. I would expect to only receive notifications of movements on those devices during those times. Instead, at 10pm I receive YOUR CAMERAS ARE ON and then at 6am YOUR CAMERAS ARE OFF. Then at 10pm YOUR CAMERAS ARE ON. Then at 6am YOUR CAMERAS ARE OFF. (You know, just like you wanted). Please disable this unnecessary alert that keeps us from focusing on actual important alerts.

@Sithgear posted a workaround on a different thread.
On iPhones, you can set up Focus to silence the Arlo App. Then schedule Focus to start one minute before the mode change, and end one minute after the mode change. You can something similar with "Do Not Disturb" on Android.
Obviously just a workaround, but it does silence the unwanted notifications with minimal security impact.

The complaint is understood and the solution is part of a larger grouping of changes that will be coming in a future update. I don't have an estimation at this time for when those changes will be available, but more control over push notifications in general will be part of that update.

We do have this in as a feature request. And the team is currently looking into it. Once there is an update I will let the community know.

Any update? I’ve temporarily turned off all notifications because of this. It’s the only solution…

Hello @SondreG - thank you for your patience. I have heard back from the Europe team and we will be enabling this feature next week. Keep your eyes on the Notification Settings page early next week.

Just installed the Arlo app update for Android. Now running version 6.44.0
Will the next version be with options to mute mode notifications, this version does not have it.

Hello @TKNT81 - please try again and let me know if you see it. Just so you know, this update is not tied to an app release, we had to enable the feature for EU region.

I just got the option to turn off mode change notifications. It appeared in the app without an update through the App Store. Thanks!

Mode change notifications can now be suppressed within your Arlo app settings. To access this feature, make sure you have the latest version of the Arlo app installed from the app store and navigate to Settings > Notifications > Mode Change Notifications within the Arlo app. Once toggled off, you will no longer receive push notification alerts when your system changes modes.
Additionally, if you would like to temporarily mute system wide notifications, you can tap the Location Notifications toggle within the same notification settings to mute notifications for 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours or 24 hours.
Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on this enhancement to allow users more flexibility in managing push notification alerts.
