Delay in motion detection

this is so bad, that I am looking for a replacement.  Delay makes it useless.

Due to the cameras being battery operated they sleep when not in use to conserve battery life. When motion is detected, the camera must then wake up to record the event, this can result in a short delay. I'm going to try using a trigger camera and see if that works... If not, I'll get rid of the whole deal
