On my Arlo camera, in the live picture, the foreground looks OK but the background looks CURVED. Please explain why and possible solution.

Yup, they're fisheye, or curvilinear, lenses. Straight lines in the middle will remain straight but the further away from the center the lines get the more curved (distorted) it becomes.

Its prob just the normal curve seen on a wide angle lens  ,.... it is either 110degrees or 130d depending on model.

 

Nothing you can do as it is a fixed lens
