Hi all,

I bought Arlo system, but I have AT&T hotspot. Based on what others said in other posts, wifi extender or wifi repeater can be used. I tried to use my old router ASUS RT_N53 as wifi repeater, but it didn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The Arlo base needs to be connected to your internet router via ethernet cable.

Once this is done successfully all 3 green lights will be lit on the base.

How many lights does your base have lit?

I connected my arlo base to my “extender” router via ethernet cable. And it had only one green light at power, no second light (initially amber then off), amber light at third light. I tried several times with sequences as instructed, and they all did not work.

The Internet LED being off means the base isn't connected to the router. Can other devices connect to the router/extender and get an IP address? If not, something about your network configuration isn't right. Likely the router should have DHCP turned off so your hotspot assigns the address.

How is the router connected to your hotspot?
