Try rebooting the base and open and close the battery door on the camera. If no good, remove the camera from Settings, My Devices and resync it. Does it update now?

did all you have stated and the camera is no longer connecting to the base station. before i disconnected it from the base station it was not yet updated to the latest firmware

Assuming you have the Arlo Wire-Free Camera, where does the problem begin when trying to resync your camera to the base station?
