I've been using Arlo for 6-7 years now. i have a smart hub, doorbell with chime and 14 cameras, a mix of hub or wifi only.
I made the mistake of purchasing 2x Pro 5s last week to add to the setup, now the app has updated.
I have 5 cameras that are on all the time, some only on when we are "Arm away".
I want my back garden to be on a schedule for Night only while the 5 remain active, ( Arlo have been complaning about fair usage policy) even though it's £18 per month and I am a long term customer.
Is it true that I can now no longer set the back garden camera to "arm" for night only? If this is the case, I will have to cancel my subscription and sell all my arlo products - and mvoe to another provider...
Please can someone help me if not I will just move on.

I am using the arm away and arm home modes.
Arm Home:
Driveway - always on
Front Garden - always on
Doorbell - always on
Two "pet" cameras - always on
"Arm Away" we turn this on when we go out, all cameras are on, including indoor cameras to check on my dogs.
So you have the correct combination. 🙂
I want my back garden camera to only be on between 7PM - 7AM,
So you have three combinations all together
- All cameras armed (only when you are away)
- Driveway, Front Garden, Doorbell, Pet cameras, Back Garden (7 pm to 7 am)
- Driveway, Front Garden, Doorbell, Pet cameras (7 am to 7 pm)
You could modify Arm Home to arm the cameras in group 2, and modify Standby to arm the cameras in group 3.
Then schedule Arm Home from 7 am to 7 pm, and Standby from 7 pm to 7 am.

At the moment you have three modes to work with - Arm Away, Arm Home, and Standby. You can modify them, but you cannot add more modes. (Arlo says they will add back custom modes, but we don't know when that will roll out).
So you can arm three combinations of cameras, and you can schedule those three combinations.
Can you give us more details on the combinations of cameras needed for the schedule you want? I see 15 total (counting the doorbell) with 5 cameras on all the time. So obviously sometimes all armed, and sometimes just the 5 armed. Are there any other combinations?
Also, is the doorbell always armed?

I want my back garden camera to only be on between 7PM - 7AM, as I don't want it on during the day recording my family or friends. Previous app version I had this set to auto switch on/off. I am currently having to manually add this Back garden cam to the arm home schedule and then remove it during the morning.
I really need this back to some sort of auto on/off for night time. I'm happy to wait a couple of months if there is defiantely a patch coming out?

I made a mistake here - you want "Standby" to start at 7 am and "Arm Home" to start at 7 pm.

Hi Stephen,
I can't seem to get it to kick in. FYI, I work in IT within Infrastructure and Cloud and have used alot of bad systems over the years lol, this will be added to my list. This is not kicking in at 7PM, I have also tried changing the time, it just doesn't work. both my automations are there and it states t oswitch mdoes at the given time, it doesn't switch.
Let's hope Arlo patches this ASAP

Most likely this is because your enable lists are incorrect.
Can you post screenshots of your two automations?

I added the back garden to Arm home. so I was hoping Arm home would kick in at 7PM, Standby kicks in at 7AM and does not include back garden.

If there's still an issue, try enabling both automations in Arm Home + Standby.
