Cannot re- sync after removing devise and changing batteries

Reveived an error that firmware needs updating. Attempted multiple times to do manual update with no luck. Then error that batteries low. Replaced batteries and still unable to re-sync. I then removed camera and attempted to re-sync again. The light on camera does blink blue during syncing process but never connects. Any help would be appreciated. Note: My second camera works fine. Thanks everyone.......

I just bought a new camera a week ago. I had trouble synching too. It finally worked but i had to keep pushing the button. I think i pushed it quickly not holding for 2 seconds as the manual say and it worked

Holding the base sync button too long has always caused an issue. I use less than one second and it works fine.
