I have camera positioned to the side of the front door about 8 feet up. From the gate of the courtyard to the front door is about 10 feet I can’t get the image of the person walking up to the front door, I only get the image of them walking away. What kind of an adjustment can I make to solve this?

Post a screenshot so we can make suggestions. Each case is different.

This is me coming thru the front gate. And I walked slowly!

The biggest issue by far is that the motion is only towards the camera, exactly how a PIR doesn't pick up motion. There are FAQs here for best positioning that you should read but it's basically best ACROSS the FOV, not at teh camera. Same thing with motion detection lights.

Oh, now I see how it works. Thanks, I watched a video and I'll change them over the weekend or after I do my taxes. I didn't know there were videos.
