Can't get set up (wifi issue?)

I'm trying to get arlo set up with my phone. Both of the green LEDs under power and internet are on so I know it's connected to the internet, but when I try to set it up on my phone I get "please make sure your base station is powered on and connected to the internet, and make sure your device is connected to the same WiFi network as the base station."

Hi hallscoughdrop,

 

Let us isolate the problem.  Kindly answer the questions I have summarized below:

 

1. Do you have a wireless router?

2. Is the Base Station connected directly to your wireless router?

3. Is you phone connected to the SSID (wireless network) that is being broadcast by your wireless router?

Hello hallscoughdrop, 

 

In addition to DaneA's suggestion it would also be best to check your phone if the data is off and wifi is on. The phone and the base station needs to be on the same network. You can also follow the instructions on this kb link.
