Hi,

I have tried to connect to my WMB4000 a couple of days with no success. The first two lights are green and the third is amber. I have reset the device by holding the reset-button down for 10 seconds, I have connected the WiFi-cable before connecting the power supply. The Base Station and my laptop and my iPhone are connected to the same WiFi. I have trid to connect the Base Station at least 30 times from my laptop and from my iPhone with no success.

I start to belive that the WMB4000 har reached "the End of Life" and therefore is not supported by Arlo. And that might be the reason that Arlo will not find the WMB4000 ever.

Does anyone know something about this?

Was this a USED base??

The 4000 base should still work, I have 2 running....

Third LED is either no cameras sync'ed or the base claimed.

A solid amber Camera LED means the base needs to be claimed in your account. If you've set it up already, you may need to remove everything from Settings, My Devices, press the reset button until the LEDs flash amber and start fresh.

The bases (any of them) are not EOL. Even if they were, that doesn't mean they suddenly stop working.

Did you hold the reset button until the LEDs flashed amber as well as remove the base from your account?

Hi TomMac,

The base WMB4000-3 is not used. I bought two WMB4000-3 a couple of years ago. I installed one of them and that one is still working fine. In my present home I have a WMB4540 running. Arlo did find the base i a couple of seconds and the WMB4540 is working fine. When I was going to connect the WMB4000 Arlo could not find  the base. I can see in my router that the WMB4000 is connected to the internet.

The WMB4000 has never been connected to my Arlo account.

I have:

Reset the base

Turned off the firewall in my laptop

Plugged in the Ehernet cable into the base

Powered the base

... But Arlo can still not find the WMB4000.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jguerdat,

Thanks for your answer.

I am happy to hear that no base is EOL.

The WMB4000 that I am trying to connect to my Arlo account has never been in use, so there is nothing to remove fram my account. I have hold the reset button until the LEDs flashed amber and thereafter made several attemps to connect to the base from my Arlo account. No success unfortunately...

I can see the base IP and Mac address in my router, so I have tried to find out if I can put in the IP when searching for the base but I can not find this possibility in the Arlo program.

I think I will have to contact the Arlo Support to get som help.

Kind regards,

CarlGustaf
