Since CR123a batteries are expensive, I'd like to know if I can use 16340 Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries with the camera.  The CR123a is 3.0 volts and the 16340 is 3.6, but they have the same form factor.  I was wondering if there is any type of voltage regulation in the camera which would allow the use of 3.6 voly batteries.

Thanks!

Pete

Tenergy rechargeables are even offered on the Arlo accessories page because they've been shown to work.  A few other brands have also been reported by users to work but many have been reported by users not to.  There's several threads on arlo and rechargeables.

Do a search on rechargeables.... many pages to read.

BTW, the OEM cell is 3v but really 3.2 when new

the 16340 cells come in 3, 3.6, 3.7 v for the same size format for li-ion..... The 3.7 v cells are the ones you what ( charge to 4.2 v )

gauge is optimized for OEM and 3.7 li-ion cells
