My camera all of the sudden went off line.  What could be the cause?

I tried the batteries from another camera and it worked.  It appears to be bad batteries in a new purchase.

Lotsa possibilities.  Is it still true?  Have you tried both the app and a browser? Have you logged out and back in? Are the left 3 LEDs on the base green?

Edit:  this is the Q camera section - are we talking Q or wireless?  If Q, ignore the last comment above.

randycummins,

Consider opening and closing the battery compartment door on the affected camera. Pay close attention to the camera LED. Dead batteries could be why the camera has dropped offline.

What do the different LED behaviors on my Arlo Wire-Free camera mean?

I removed the batteries and deleted the camera from the list.  When I close the lid the blue light comes on but nothing happens when I press the sync button on top of the camera after I have already hit the sync on the base station.  I get no display, Amber or blue.  I've held down 2 seconds, 3 seconds and more.  I've even done 1 second..

Nothing is happening.  The other cameras are fine.

When I set these 4 cameras up originally they had no problem syncng and worked fine for about 2 weeks.  Then the front camera stopped syncing.  I took it into the base station to try to sync it but got no LED blinking orange lights.  I removed the bateries for about 5 minutes and reinstalled them.  Pushed the base station sync and then the top button on the camera to sync but the camera LED did not light up at all. (When i did re-install the batteries, it did give me a blue flash on the LED.) Can't figure it out - it seems dead!

Try power cycling the base and remove the camera in Settings, My Devices and sync again.  If no-go, return the system and swap for another at the store or create a trouble ticket for an RMA.

We can't help if we don't know what's happening.  Details.

Why did my camera go offline? Batteries and signal strong.

There seems to be a spate of this happening lately, perhaps tied to the latest firmware update. If power cycling the base and opening and closing the battery door doesn't help, you may need to remove the camera in Settings, My Devices and resync it.

Two of our 5 cameras went offline at the same time 8 days ago. Have resynced, get rapudly blinking blue light that says sync is successful--but mobile app says offline.

Have followed all recommended steps in doc and steps above as well. No joy.

What the heck do I do now?!?

Same here. All of a sudden my 4 cameras went offline together. Did all the necessary steps, remove batteries...re-sync.....it worked for 1 hour and went offline again. What's next?

Same for me also.  I've got 6 wireless cameras on my base station and have had for months.  A few days ago, two went, then last night another 2 of them appeared as offline suddenly, leaving 2 working.

The 2 working ones had firmware 1.2.7730 and the hub had 1.7.8_7427.

After pulling my hair out, this is what got mine working again:

I've just pushed the reset button on the back of the hub for 10 seconds, then re-added the hub via the web admin (by choosing "Add Device" then choosing the hub picture), then re-sync'd one camera to that hub (by pressing the sync button on the hub and then the camera) and finally that single camera has appeared.

Now to do that 5 more times...  grrrr

I haven't done anything to the system since yesterday. I GAVE UP!  Suddenly all 4 units came back online this morning.  Weird. The system is so inconsistent since the update.

It sounds like the cameras may have been installing the firmware update. Are you still having issues with the cameras dropping offline after the update has completed?

Please let us know,

Two of my cameras keep intermittently going offline. I've followed the advice posted to several similar postings about this issue - restarting the base, removing / readding / resyncing the cameras. This is really frustrating.

I doubt it's a battery issue as I just replaced all the batteries and they're showing full strength when they are online and visible in the browser. I've noticed sometimes when I change mode they go offline.

I don't feel it makes sense for me to frequently have to resync / reset the cameras and my fear is that this keeps happening when I assume they're working properly and should be recording, especially for my external camera. Why is this happening now?

A first thing to try ois use both the app and browser. Sometimes it's an issue with one but not the other.
