I HAVE VMC3030 CAMERAS WITH VMB3030 BASE STATION AND AM USING A PERSONAL COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS 10 AND A USB CONNECTION AT MY PARENTS HOME. NO WIFI AT THE PROPERTY AND NO SMARTPHONE AVAILABLE. 

 

I AM USING A VMC3030 CAMERA FROM MY HOME, WHICH HAS WORKED FLAWLESSLY AND HAS NEW BATTERIES.

 

FOLLOWING THE "ADD A DEVICE" SYNCING INSTRUCTIONS. ON-SCREEN MESSAGE SHOWS "UPDATED FIRMWARE" FOR THE BASE STATION, FLASHING BLUE LIGHTS ON THE CAMERA AFTER SYNCING AND A GREEN CHECK MARK NEXT TO THE PICTURE OF THE CAMERA ON THE FINAL PAGE.

 

HOWEVER, THE  CAMERA I AM TRYING TO ADD NEVER SHOWS UP IN "DEVICES".

 

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Did you remove the camera from your home account before attempting to add it to your parent's account?

Is this smaller text size easier for you to read? (LOL!)

 

I can not remove the camera from my home because I still do not have Internet access (due to unresponsiveness of my ISP) and therefore can not access my Arlo account.  There is still an open case on this matter.

 

Would adding a new camera to my parents home be easier? I'm sure I can find one on Ebay.

Yes, I can read the smaller text (I have bifocals)...  😄

 

You can still remove the camera from your account by using a phone on cell service or a computer browser (my.arlo.com). You can use anyone else's phone/computer to do this but just don't trust the device (and/or delete the app). This can be done from anywhere on any device.
