Does anyone have any ideas how to protect your cameras from birds?  And to repel spiders/birds?   We have lost two cameras now to birds pecking at them, and others go off constantly as spiders and flies are drawn to them also.   Any ideas???

First, put a small tether on the camera where you have birds pecking.  You can use a light gauge fishing line to the screw ( tie under mount ) that holds the mount and use a standard small bolt ( 1/4-20 ) that goes into the bottom of camera... It will stop it from going far.

As to repelling birds, bugs, etc... unknown. Don't have that problem

They aren't knocking the camera off the mount, they are pecking out the cover over the sensor.

Locaating the camera closer to an overhang may help by physically blocking them.  You could try some metal window screen to fashion a block, too.  I've had to do something similar to prevent birds from building nests.

I set siren to go off when it detects a bird that keeps trying to nest on camera. Which means the alarm goes off every 10 minutes. Does anyone know if I give up and let it make a nest, will it hurt the camera? I'm 600 miles away and can't physically do anything.

It likely won't hurt the camera but the nest could well cause blockage for motion detection and recording.  I have a somewhat similar issue (not with the cameras) where I just used some metal screen to form a block so birds can't get in there.  There are also bird spikes, etc. available from your local home improvement store.  Of course, that means you'd have to visit the site to install whatever you choose.
