Hi there.

New user here - so don't shoot me. 🙂

I have one of the Arlo Three HD Cameras Security System.
I set this up 4 days ago and its been working fine.

Today I have one of the cameras (hardware version H7, latest firmware 1.2.9901) which has dropped from 97% to 24% in 24hrs.

The camera is within 4ft of the base unit. - strong signal.
Recording is enabled, and its been capturing 15sec recordings totalling ~7minutes/24hrs
Motion detection is 75%, with no push notification and no email alert.
The temperation overnight was approx 2degCentigrade.

I have not been viewing live pictures.
I am using the ducacell batteries that came with the unit.

The other two cameras are at 78% and 87% battery respectively. with similar motion/recording settings. This is also a lot more battery loss in less than 4 days than I would expect TBH, These units are further away, but still with decent wifi signal.

Please avise what to do before I return it to the store.

Cheers

MD

^ That will be why the battery is reporting low %

When it's warmer in the afternoon, what does the battery meter say?

Hi Steve,
Sorry, I missed out the "-" symbol, it was actually below freezing last night. The battery level showed 24% all day. No change as the temp increased during the day.
What I don't understand is why this of all the 3 cameras suffered if temperature is the issue. The other cameras are sited further away from the base unit and more shaded from warming up.

Hmmm... I guess

1. Try resetting the camera by pulling the batteries for a few seconds

2. Swap this camera with one of the other cameras and see if it makes a difference

3. Contact support to see if they have any other ideas
