Installed 2 arlo wire free cameras last night at 2000. I turned off the motion detection this morning at 0800, batteries are already at 76% and 70%. The camera at 70% did not record as many activities as the other. They are not in a high traffic area. The 70% camera also has a long delay before it detects motion & doesn't always record

couple of questions:  rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries

how many recordings of which length were made from each cam?   were also live view times?

in general I find the first day or two the drain is faster than after that

also if there is distance or barriers between base station and cams can result in battery drain as the cams use power to constantly try reconnecting to base station.

and of course could be bad batteries or one not placed right.  the batteries operate as 2x2 in parallel, but if one pair wasnt placed right , only 50% would show from fresh batteries

Thanks, there were 3 10 second recordings on the camera with 76% and 1 on the 70% camera. We only tapped the live feed during positioning & after we got down. The camera with more battery power is furthest from the base...

you didn't mention of using rechargeable or non rechargeable batteries.

but either way shouldnt show that drain from that little use.  be interesting to know if continues to drain at this rate.

MDE27,

Are you still seeing the battery drain at this rate? What is the signal stength for the camera like?
