Base Station switching of and on

My cameras keep going off line so I thought I'd check the base out. I have two WiFi monitors, one on my phone and one on my PC. Both show the signal from the base disappearing at random intervals, and reappearing after half a minute or so. Is that normal?

Not to my knowledge... the Arlo base actually sets up it own wifi system to talk directly to the cameras... it should not be dropping out any more than a normal wifi.

Which means not at all.

The kit was bought by a friend and I've only had it for a few days, so I'm inclined to return it to Amazon, but I don't know if I'd want a replacement of a refund. .
