Base Station is offline. I have tried all of the suggestions mentioned and still nothing seems to help. All the lights are on. Reinstalling seems to work just fine. Base station is easily found, sync of camera seems to work. But no matter what I do this station will not report being online. Firmware update fails.
I have a dedicated firewall, IPFire. I have tried setting up behind the firewall and outside the firewall. Both approaches failed. Tech support sent me a replacement base station which acts exactly the same as the one it replaced. What is baffling is that everything was working fine and then, out of the blue, the whole system crashed and I have been unable to resurrect anything to operational status. This is the only hardware/app/software that will not work. Internet is no problem.
What now?

Additional information to my last post.
The base station (both the original one and the replacement) shows up on my network map, but it still shows up as offline in the arlo app..

What's the status of the LEDs on the base station (power, internet, camera)? Possibilities for each are green, blinking green, amber, blinking amber, and off.

All lights are green. The internet light flashes occasionally, indicating some sort of internet activity. A camera will link to the base just fine. However, when I delete and reinstall the base (Multiple times - You know, keep doing the same thing in hopes of getting a different outcome) the search for update firmware fails. The station shows up on my network map and appears as a wifi network as ARLO_VMB_1569653008. If I try to connect to this wifi network it asks for a password, which I do not have, nor do I know how to get one.

That network is only for cameras, so you can't join it from other devices.

I'm thinking you need to get in touch with support again.

A solution, of sorts, has been found. It turns out that Arlo requires an upload speed of 1-1.5 mbps, something of which I was totally unaware. I switched internet provider in order to gain a higher upload speed and was able to get things operating thereafter. Now, I have discovered, I cannot get a snapshot from my cameras because I keep getting a notification that I need to install the latest version of Flash, which I have done and still cannot get a quick or live view from my cameras. So far I have checked my browser settings as suggested to no avail, on firefox and edge both. Looks like this may be one of those obscure features that Arlo fails to clearly document. What is really frustrating is that there was a time, not too long ago, that everything worked perfectly but now will no longer perform as they used to. Arlo's help has been less than stellar to this point.

The error text is misleading, as it also shows up when the browser is blocking flash. Enabling flash is an annoyance, but it is possible with both browsers,
With firefox, you will see a "lego" icon immediately to the left of the padlock (in the address bar) when the error occurs. Click on that, and tell the system to allow flash.
With edge, you click on the "here" in the update link, and you should be seeing a pop-up to allow flash once.
