That means the router has assigned ann IP address but is blocking access to the servers. A first thing to do is to reboot both the router and base, in that order. If still amber, there's a setting in the router that's blocking access. If it's owned by the ISP, you need to work with them. If it's yours, check security settings to determine the problem.

The cable company couldn't help me but they did help me sign into the website for my modem. I can see Port Triggers and Port Forward but I am not sure what to do from there. Can you help me?

Does the ISP own your networking equipment?

I would press and hold the router reset button (should be near the power switch - a little hole with a button recessed inside). Let it boot back up. You may need to use a computer with an Ethernet cable to set things up again so if you're not comfortable with all this, get someone you know to help. If it's the ISP's, they need to help. Who is your ISP?

No they do not own it. It is owned by another company. I have followed all of your advice and it didn't work. I was told that I need to add a Port Forward but to do that I need your IP.

You can get that IP address by using a command window or ping app and typing:

ping arlo.netgear.com

and using the IP address displayed (ignore the lack of response).  Of course, this address can change because of "round-robin" DNS resolution.

I would tend to recommend buying your own router. That way you're in charge and not what some service decides to give you.

I have worked with my modem provider and Internet provider. We allowed the ports passed the firewall, we assigned you a continuous port and we reserved a port. I have rebooted both my modem and the base several times. I think we will be sending it back. Thank you for trying to help.
