I have two Arlo wireless cameras on one base station.  The first is on the front porch and the second is pointing to the back yard.  I would like it so if either camera detects motion, both start recording.  When I am configuring a mode, I only get to select one camera and one action.  How do you do this?

Nested rules. Mode tab, click on your base a create a new mode. You'll create a rule for one camera. Save and reedit it to add cameras and rules. This is what you'll want to end up with:

Cam1 detects, Cam1 records
Cam1 detects, Cam2 records
Cam2 detects, Cam1 records
Cam2 detects, Cam2 records
