Arlo wire-free cams through windows for motion detection?

Can you use Arlo cams through a window? I have one set up facing at my front entrance. Video works great but it does not sense motion. Do these cams not work through windows or am I just doing something wrong?

You can NOT use the Arlo and Arlo Pro thru glass...the detection require the sense of IR and glass blocks it

Thank you. I assumed as much after further investigation but wasn't sure. I just purchased a secondary exterior mount for my cam. Thank you
