My Arlo (2 cameras) are connected. I can see the live feed from my phone or laptop. However, they have quit recording. I have restarted the base unit and reconnected the cameras. However, I cannot seem to determine how to cause them to capture motion.

Have you checked to see what your active mode is? Are the motion indicators for each camera in the Devices tab black or gray? Gray means they're disarmed.

Same thing happened to me. sometime this week recordings stopped, my app got updated on my phone and all recordings are gone

Have you tried what jguerdat mentioned? Are you also able to see any recordings when logging on through the web client on your computer?
