I have been using the Tenergy rechargeable batteries in all 3 cameras. only one camera gives me this problem. it's not the batteries, because i swapped them around with the other two cameras. i purchased the 3v non rechargeable batteries, and the problem seems fixed for now. i believe the tenergy batteries have slightly different dimensions, and cause intermittent contact. this one particular camera doesn't cope with this. i will check out the contacts in the camera, and maybe bend or adjust. Hope this helps.

A trick is to make sure you only lightly place the batteries in the slots and let the battery door do the pushing. As you note, batteries may have somewhat different dimensions and get stuck when pushed down manually (I've had that happen and it was a pain to get them out). Letting the door do the pushing helps the most.
