I purchased an Arlo 3 camera system. Now have ordered an Arlo Pro 2 camera system. Would I be able to use both base stations at the same time since there is a large area to cover?

Yes and you can mix and match all the cameras so you get what you need.

......... also make sure that the base stations are not in close proximity of each other. If you do not have a ethernet connection at the 2nd base station location, I highly reccomend the Netgear Powerline solution.
