Arlo actually only use two batteries?

I am using four rechargable batteries on my Arlo camera. After 1.5 month, it run out of battery. Now I put in those four batteries to recharge, two of them are almost full. The other two are empty. Seems Arlo mostly use only two batteries?

Actually, they're in series-parallel. The back two are used then the front two then the back two, etc. Sometimes the exact dimensions cause the batteries to stick, resulting in no connection. Next time, make sure the batteries aren't pushed down all the way so the door has to move them into place while making contact.

As a PS... the sets of cells flip - flop back and forth to drain equally...if the curcuit gets screwed up that controls same only 1/2 of the 4 get drained
