Hi

I have a new Arlo VBM 5000 and it is up and running, connected with a Doorbell 3 and Floodlight camera. We use to have a subscription through which I and my partner could watch both the cameras and their recordings in the app and online.

However, after installing the VBM 5000 hub and reset both the device to record in the VBM 5000 my partner no longer has access to the video recordings. Under the app's history tab I find two tabs; Cloud and Local. Under local I can see all the recordings done to the VBM5000. My partner doesn't get these tabs [Cloud | Local], she just gets the default Cloud tab choice where nothing is recorded.

How do I allow other users than myself to see the recordings on the VBM5000?

Grateful for your help!

/Stefan

There are two paths.  One is to just have your partner use your account credentials on their phone.

The other is to migrate your partner's account to the new "Feed" interface.  You do that by going into "add device" and starting to add a Pro 5s camera.  Although that process can't be completed without the camera, the workflow will migrate the account to "Feed" before you get stuck.

Thank you Stephen,

Both of us are using the new app interface already. Didn't know it was called "Feed" interface though. But we are using to different accounts. These are the accounts we were using when we had a security subscription which is now cancelled since we have local recording.

It is strange that you buy expensive new equipment and get less functionality, just because you don't want or need the subscription any longer.

The only menu she can see is a small pop-down menu where she has one local "home" and the shared "home" which is the one with the devices in.

Any further suggestions other than share the same account? Should it actually work for her to see the recordings as it is now?

Local recordings are not shared to friend accounts, so the only way for her to see them is to use your account credentials.  Arlo used to only allow one login at a time, but that changed a while ago.
