Arlo Support can see my wifi. How private is Arlo?

Recently I called support to setup my Arlo and noticed that the support person was able to see my wifi (he gave me my wifi name). What else can they see? How big of a privacy concern is that? Thanks

If you have a camera that is connected directly to your home wifi, then the camera settings include the wifi name.  So Arlo support can see that in your account settings (which they need to access in order to give you support).

 

You should assume they can see everything you can see in the app (and my.arlo.com).  They do say that they won't access your camera feeds/recordings without your consent.  But clearly it is possible (since they will provide recordings to law enforcement when served with a warrant).
