Recently purchased Arlo with 2 cameras.
I hooked it up and it works fine.
I do not necessarily need to record motion but I do want constant live monitoring. However, when I put it on Live feed it turns off after a few min and says it "timed out". How can I watch continuous live (not motion activated)? I dont care about the batteries because I can change and recharge them when needed.
I really do not want to return these cameras.

Thanks.

Arlo cameras ARE NOT designed for 24/7 viewing or recording.... they time out after a set amount to conserve batteries ( you can't change this )

If you have a Q camera ( you mention the Q but you also mention batteries...confused here ) you can record 24/7 with the CVR option

(but there was a question as to how long it would stay on in past...I have run mine live for a couple hours a while back, not sure if it will still do the same )

Most folks would have an issue with such battery usage so there's no way to get the wireless cameras to stay on.  The Q cameras, however, can do live view for long periods of time since they're powered but are only rated for indoor use.  They work fine through a window, unlike the wireless cameras, as long as you disable night vision so the IR illuminators don't create massive glare off the window.
