Arlo Pro can record to local storage and Arlo Wire-Free camera cannot?

I have Arlo Pro base station, it seems according to website that I also need Arlo Pro camera to record to local storage, as Arlo standard camera doesn't work for this function (can only upload to cloud), is this correct? It seems odd. Maybe I misinterpreted it? 

 

I would assume it be based on the base-station - only Arlo Pro base can record to cloud, not standard, camera doesn't matter.

Local storage is a function of the base. I have Pro, Pro2 and original Arlo cameras all recording to USB on the Pro 2 base.
