I purchased 3 of these cameras and installed two of them outside on my house. I have no power supply near the installation location but I do have CATV wiring that runs through the house to a central location. I cut the camera power cord and attached it to the CATV wire and spliced the plug part of the power cord to the other end of the CATV line in the house to access power. Everything worked for two days, all features, great video, etc. After two days, nothing was working, and I'm unable to get a live recording. They do not say, they are disconnected, restartingthem in the app, does not help. When I unplug them, and plug them back in, they work again for about a day.

Any suggestions to getting them reliable with this configuration would be greatly appreciated.

For starters, I would use an extension cord to power one camera with an unmodified power supply/cable. It may be that your mod is causing voltage drop or perhaps introducing (AC) noise to the DC power.
