Arlo HD wireless: my camera has stopped recording for over 24 hrs:firmware update message

How do I get my camera in action again?  It has stopped recording for over 24 hrs and all I am getting is message 

Firmware Update is in progress please do not turn off your camera

for 24 hrs????

advice pls!!

What is the LED on the camera doing?  If nothing, try restarting the base using the power switch and open and close the camera battery door.
