I doubt anyone from the CIO office will see this or cares. For years now Arlo has been falling into a tailspin. 40 years in technology leadership I have seen this too many times. I started with the very first Arlo cameras with a large set up I depended on. I upgraded versions at least 4 times over the years. I now use it only as a backup system to Eufy. Yes, Chinese based Eufy. I have seen dozens of competing brands but Arlo was always better. Years ago they lost their vision. They have been passed in technology for at least 5 years and while they still come out with new products they stay years behind with no sign of catching up. This is the sign of CIO’s and Chief Technology leaders who have no knowledge of the competition nor what people want. I doubt they even started with Netgear or Arlo, they are probably contract executives who have no vested interest in the company.
just some examples - all my Eufy cameras have pan and tilt and build in small high tech solar charging. I have not replaced a battery in the three years they have been installed. Batteries are not even removable because there is no need. Indoor cameras are all pan and tilt too. Yes in the early days there was concern of Chinese storage but I have only had Eufy local storage. Terabytes that never fill up. I pay no yearly charge for anything and I have all the AI, face recognition, notifications Posssible. This has to terrify Arlo management because they only survive on their subscriptions not their technology leadership.
I was invited to early testing programs but they were useless.
I soon will have no more Arlo. Not what I wanted but forced by their lack of leadership and vision.

You really don’t get it, do you? That’s the problem. You do not understand technology advances nor what people want!
lets look at your reply:
1. encourage you to take a look at the latest Arlo product offerings - you think I’m lazy or stupid? I know every product you have.
Let me ask you, did you look at Eufy’s products?
You now have 1 pan and tilt. They are in their third generation and I have been using them for two years. They see something and track it.
2. Solar-yes, you have a separate large add on solar panel. Theirs comes with the camera, it snaps on the camera mount and it uses high tech solar cells. The panel is about 4” square and I have never seen a camera with less than 100% charge. They are really maintenance free. Their S3 camera has an even small built in solar.
3. POE - joke! I don’t want to run Ethernet 300 foot or more. BTW. their wifi is great at distance. I bought their LTE camera for my barn (yes- pan and tilt with included snap in solar). Thought at 400+ feet I had to go with LTE. One year it had consumed “0” LTE minutes and has used its also included wifi!
4. Subscription. I don’t want security. I have a trusted security system and I am just fine with camera notifications verses a third party calling me to tell me someone drove up my remote driveway. I already know. Intelligence features are not worth the subscription cost. You do this for steady income on the balance sheet. Eufy’s terrible storage is a one time affordable cost with built in intelligence. I need no one! I have access to all my recordings with face, pet, vehicle recognition.
Ttust me, your out of touch and living in the 20th century.
