The teeny, tiny screw one needs to mount the Arlo floodlight onto its backing is a truly bad design. My floodlight fell off because this teeny, tiny screw can not hold up the weight of the Arlo floodlight. Is Arlo planning at all to fix this terrible design flaw? And, what do I do the ensure the floodlight doesn't fall off again? TY.

Hi @DarhleneZ
The screw pictured in your image is the locking screw. The camera is meant to be rotated clockwise in that secure mount plate until it stops. This may be a sign of tampering, have you verified and rotated securely and tested this again? I have added a How-To video here for visual representation.

FWIW, I don't like the mechanical design either, and I did have a floodlight fall once.
But @ShayneS is correct in saying that the screw is not intended to support the weight of the camera. The plastic flanges on outer circle of the mount are supposed to do that (you rotate the camera so that the flanges are positioned behind the similar flanges on the base).
The screw is only intended to keep you from rotating the camera after it is locked in place.
