Arlo Base station - how to add to my account if I am not in the same location

I am trying to add an Arlo base station to my account. The base station is connected by an ethernet cable to the router and the 2 green lights are lit. I am not in the same physical location of the base station. Can I use the serial number or the MAC number to add the base station to my account or do I ha to be physicaly close or connected to the same router of the Arlo base station?

IIRR, you have to be on the same network during setup ( later can be moved if needed )

PS..which 2 leds are lit ?

The 2 green leds are on the front panel of the base station and are supposed to be lit when the station has proper connection to the router and internet
