Arlo Base Station Firmware Update issues

Hi I have been reading the articles and questions in here to try to find out why my arlo system will not take the firmware update and i keep hearing mention of a toggle switch that i need to use to make sure my auto updates is on but I am not seeing this anywhere so maybe someone can explain it in dumby terms so I can find it cause I have looked everywhere and just dont have it. I spent good money on this system and for it to be stuck on unable to update firmware is just wrong. My current Hardware version is VMB3010r2 and my current firmware version is 1.10.0.9_23037 trying to update to VMB3010 basestation 1.10.0.9_23037,xagent 3.2.7-rc1. Can someone please help me to get this right cause the system is no good if it does not do what it is intended to do and batteries are too expensive to be replacing every couple days because they get drained from trying to update.
