Hello

I have an Arlo VMS3130-100EUS - base station with one camera.

Has anyone got any advice as to which rechargeable CR123 batteries I can use, and which are available here in the UK?

I once tried these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B011R6L4D2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but even when fully charged the camera would not turn on when the batteries were inserted, so I have to keep buying disposable ones.

The camera records about 20 motions a day, which means the batteries don't last very long. Hence, looking for rechargeable options

Thanks in advance for any advice

you made the same mistake I did and bought 3.0 batteries instead of 3.7.

the gold colored tenergy 3.7 rechargeables are the ones Netgear recommends but didn't see them on amazon. (as mentioned the tenergy 3.02v silver colored ones are wrong.

There was another thread that mentioned a source in the netherlands.

Ah, I see

Thanks for the reply.

Do you think these would work then?

The 16340 cells are the same as 123 cells.... Mind that the manufacturer has allowable +/- in actual size... some of the 16340 tested were a mm or so longer making them a bit difficult to fit.

What your looking for is a 3.7 v Li-ion cell with protection built into the cell for over drain/over charge.  Thos look like they will work, but I don't think anyone has ever actually fitted one for size.

If you search you prob can find the dimensions and compare them to a 123 cell for size

There is an approved cell and charger package by Netgear, tho not sure it's available in the UK.

Avg run time for these cells is about 50-60 days normal use

the PPower cell

Thanks for the reply.

Looks like the Netgear charger is not available in the UK 😞

They aren't too pricey that I couldn't give it a shot if you think they may work. I've also asked the seller if these are the same size as standard CR123 batteries..

reading the reviews suggests works with the arlo but seem to give very short time between recharging, 1-2 weeks.

but looks like a good price for charger amd 12 batteries.

it doesnt mention it being a smart charger so may not offer overcharge protection.

but for the price i'd give it a try (i spent more  than that on my wrong tenergy batteries)

Yeah 1-2 weeks seems pretty short.

Shame about the the approved chargers not being available..
