Arlo said I need a newer version of Adobe flash player.
I downloaded the newer version and install it. It still said I need a newer version of Adobe flash player. arlo cameras video has not been recording for 2 days now

Flash doesn't effect the recordings... It effects the play back on the device

It helps to know what OS and what browser is being used. Some browsers (Firefox) require a separate Flash install while others (Chrome, Edge) have it built-in. How to manage Flash varies from browser to browser, too.

I have Window 8.1 running Google Chrome.

Two things:
1) Read the FAQs here on how to enable Flash in Chrome (Flash is disabled by default in recent browser updates).
2) To get rid of the Flash warning in Chrome v69 and above, enter the following in the URL bar:
chrome://flags/#enable-ephemeral-flash-permission
DIsable it and restart Chrome.
