I have multiple Arlo cameras setup with activity zones. Notifications work great until the camera thinks it has been physically moved and then the camera stops sending notifications until the activity zone has been reset.

Two of my cameras are in a high wind area. My cameras are also awesome bird attractors (have great videos of birds coming in to land!). Unfortunately, both the wind and birds landing on the camera can cause the camera to think it has physically moved enough to warrant disabling notifications until the activity zones to be reset.

I have also missed security events due to the automatic disabling of notifications.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you resolve it other than reset the activity zone once you realized notifications were automatically disabled?

I opened a support ticket weeks ago but I’m getting the run around. I’m ready to dump the cameras and go elsewhere but thought maybe the user community might have helpful tips.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Which cameras? Are they using the magnetic mounts? If so, it may be useful to contemplate using the threaded mounts to add stability. A quick search for outdoor camera mounts will result in zillions of choices. The cameras use the standard 1/4"-20 thread.
