From email alerts or through the share function, an open guessable URL is created to the video in the library. If you know (or guess) the URL, you can view the video without logging in - no password required. Is there a way to turn this 'feature' off, or if not, is Arlo/Netgear planning to enable this optionn in the future?

nils2,

No link is created if you have notifications disabled and do not manually share the video. I don't have any information on this feature changing to require a password but you could suggest it in the Arlo Idea Exchange to promote the idea.

I just discovered this 'feature'.

It's astounding - atrocious - how can you design such a hole in the system?

Of course people want notifications - that's the point of a security system - and to have an OPEN URL is unbelievable.

Maybe someone will make a robot and post everyone's videos' and then tell the press and make a noise - and then maybe Netgear can close this hole.
