For a 720P camera the images are not very crisp. When I zoom in even slightly there is a noticeable lack of sharpness. This is very important when trying to ID someone. Looks the same on all cameras even when I choose best video and sacrifice battery life. Anyone else notice the lack of sharpness?

Two important things:

1) 720p isn't high resolution. It's less than 1 megapixel. Cheap cell phones have higher resolution. The only way to make things clearer is to get closer.

2) The amount of compression used to minimize network bandwidth and disk space in your account means details are lost, just as with usi g a camera and setting it to use maximum compression for smaller file size.

Hopefully a new firmware release will give a choice of compression. Until then, the only thing you can do is move the camera closer which isn't always a good idea or possible.
