Dear Netgear family. Please give me some feed back. Three of my cameras are recording in black and white and the fourth camera is now recording in red. This is not normal. This is my second box of Netgear cameras.

apostlefw,

The cameras will record in black and white if they are exposed to a low light environment. This is an intended feature as the cameras do have night vision capability. Please consider relocating these cameras to a well lit environment and check to see if they record in color. I will reach out to you in a private message to further assist with the camera that is recording in red.

My fourth camera is also recording in red. Suggestions on how to correct this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

As noted in many posts and responses on these forums, you have to submit a trouble ticket for possible RMA.  There are a couple of things to try, though, in the interim - 1) Open and close the battery door since the reset (or the vibration to the device) may clear the problem and 2) unsupported and needs tobe done thoughtfully, try a "calibrated" thump of the camera to see if that helps.  My supposition is that it's the IR filter used for night vision that has gotten stuck in place and may be freed up by a suitable vibration.  Of course, that doesn't mean hitting it with a hammer or anything else that would void the warranty.  The results of such action would be useful to know - maybe it helps, maybe not.
