New install, was seeing less than 1 volt AC at existing button location. Arlo needs 18-24 VAC.
My existing chime was a digital builder unit, line voltage with a tiny transformer. Button switch terminals did not pass 24 VAC. Needed to get all new chime and 24 VAC transformer- problem solved.

Did you install yourself? How much did the upgrade cost?

Yes self install. 24 volt transformer was $17, digital Westminster chime $29, both from Amazon.
If you install a digital chime, DO NOT install the white power dongle or you'll see false tamper alerts.
