Every time I lose power I have to rip the unit off the wall and disconnect the wires and reset it which is extremely difficult. Before I buy a ring camera and give up, did they ever figure out a competent way to reset the wired doorbell? Like no one thought to make an easy reset? Guess this was better than removing it and throwing it in a bucket of water for 24 hours. Such crap tech

How long was the outage? There's a small internal battery that may have discharged so you'd have to wait for ~15 minutes for it to charge back up again to be able to work.
The wireless doorbell doesn't need the transformer to be connected so doesn't have this problem.

I had 20 hours of no power. I've had power for 48 hours since. I know the routine. Remove the unit completely. My wires are very small and brittle and this is pathetic tech. The reset button should suffice
