When I first installed my doorbell and connected it to Wi-Fi the mechanical chime worked fine. When I switched the connection over to my 4540 base station now the chime makes only a very faint buzz. Mechanical is still selected in the app. Suggestions?
Does the chime work normally if you switch the doorbell back to WiFi?

Not anymore, I don’t get it
Sounds like something has gone wrong with the hardware (that happened to approximately coincide with the network change). Hard to say if it is the doorbell, chime, powerkit, or transformer w/o more troubleshooting. Generally speaking, the chime buzzing when you press the doorbell is a sign that there is not enough power going through the chime.
It is conceivable that doing a factory reset of the doorbell could resolve it, but I think it'd be better to do more troubleshooting before doing that.
Though it is a fair amount of work, it would be useful if you could disconnect the doorbell and see if the chime works when you touch the two wires together. If you can measure the voltage at the doorbell, that would also be useful.

Voltage at chime and at doorbell 18.4 . Removed device and on onboarded again, then did factory reset with button on back. No change.
Ok. Does disconnecting the doorbell and touching the two wires together result in the chime ringing?

No it does not
Ok. That rules out the doorbell. You might want to remove the powerkit and then do that test again.

Red light on front of doorbell now.
The AVD1001 has a small battery to smooth over short power problems - likely that is empty/near empty due to disconnecting the leads.

Repeated w/out kit, no chime.
That means the failure is either with the chime itself or the transformer. The chime is more likely (given that the voltage at the doorbell is within spec). FWIW, I did have a strange problem with my own chime a while back that turned out to be the transformer - even though I also measured adequate voltage. So I can't absolutely rule out the transformer (and it is likely less expensive to replace).
