I changed my transformer to 24v.
I metered the doorbell and it measured 29v.
I updated the transformer from 16v to 24v because the videos were freezing most of the time.
My question is, will 29v harm my wired video doorbell?

The exact voltage, as long as it's within spec, won't make a difference in the video freezing. However, 29v may be an issue although I assume you're reading the voltage with nothing attached (open circuit). A load on the transformer may bring down to 24v but you'd have to try it to see. Personally, I'd put the 16v one back in and return the new one.

Freezing videos could be due to various issues including signal strength/quality. What is the house construction? What is the path the signal has to take (number of walls/floors as well as things on and in the walls)? Any other 2.4GHz wireless devices near the doorbell? Is it connected to your WiFi or to a base or hub? What is your measured upload speed to the Internet?
