Hi, Will the Arlo Wired Video Doorbell work without hooking it up to a chime box?
I installed the video doorbell but did not install a chime box. I went through the app process and tried to scanned the QR code trying to bypass the chime box. But my video doorbell is not found when searching through my network. I just want to make sure if I really need to install the chime box.

Yes, as long as you are giving it suitable low-voltage AC for power. Note you don't need the power kit if you have no chime. But you should save it, in case you add a chime later on.

Thanks Stephen, at least that is good to know. Because when I put the QR code to the video camera, I assume that it read it, so I press Continue assuming that the chime would have rang.
So I think my issue may be with my network, since i am unable to locate the doorbell during the installation.
Thanks again.
