My doorbell trial ran out. I signed up for a monthly plan right b/4 it ended and this thing won’t work.   Can’t call the support line.  Chat is impossible. What do I do here ?

Have you checked Settings, Subscription/Secure Plan (or similar), Manage cameras to ensure your camera is enabled?
